ONE DAY TOURNAMENT. PLAY ON FRANKTON GREEN. FOURTEEN TEAMS PARTICIPATING The Frankton Bowling Club is holding the first one day tournament of the season to-day, and fourteen teams representing Frankton, Hamilton, Whitlora, Hamilton East, Claudelands, Railway, Glen Massey, Cambridge, Ngaruawahia and Te Awamutu, are engaged on the greens. The tournament is divided into five rounds of fourteen heads, and the following sections had been decided when we went to press:— First Round. Glen Massey.—Connew, Cornes, Girand, Morris, 13, v. NQARUAWAHIA CLUB. There >vas a fair gathering on the Ngaruawahia green during the weekend, when the opening round of the percentage fours was played. Results were: — , „ . S. Hughes, Heath, Redpath 13; Fleming, Heron, Kelly 35 v. Westfield, Brockett, Wilkinson 9. Inter-club Match. On Saturday an Inter-clul} will be played against Whitiora on the home green. Six teams will take part in the game, including a first-year s team. The rinks selected are:—Brunton, Hill, Wilkinson, R. McFarlane; Fleming, Clayton, Birkett, Rowe; Westfield, Nairn, Fraser, Rogers; Gerring. Heath, Johnston, Kelly; Welsh Brockett, Heron, Blewden. First year’s team: Burke, Broadbent, Carran, Christie. The rink to visit Glen Massey on Saturday to attend the official opening of the green will be Warburton, Cavanagh, Avey, Redpath. A badge match played during the week-end resulted in the badges changing hands when Carran and HiU defeated Welsh- and Blewden. INTER-CLUB MATCH, WIIITIORA TEAMS..
