The pictures comprise alpine, bush, sea, river, city and country scenes and show the variety and unique beauty of our scenery- One of the best camera studies is the fullpage illustration, “ Auckland City at Eventide.” Stories by Hilda Keane and Elsie K. Morton and an article entitled “ Sport in New Zealand ” by F. Carr Rollett provide interesting reading. The number will be greatly in demand by those desiring a seasonable gift for overseas friends. “ New Zealand Illustrated,” ,the Christmas number of the Christchurch Press, is also a fine paper, showing typical New Zealand views in sepia, and blue and. white. The supplementary pictufre, “ Mount Sefton,” from the painting by the late C. N. Worsley, has proved well worth reproducing. Mountain scenery has been especially well portrayed throughout the publication. Also of great beauty is a glimpse of the peacefully-flowing Wanganui with her bush-clad banks.
