OBITUARY
# MRS NELLIE FERNER. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. Auckland lost one of its leading women citizens by the death last evening at her residence, Remuera, of Mrs Nellie E. Ferner, founder of the Sunshine Community Association. Her loss will be deeply felt in social welfare and civic improvement circles. Mrs Ferner was the daughter of the late Mr Alfred Aley, a well-known early resident of Auckland and was born in Auckland. REV. G. BROWN. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. The death of the Rev. George Brown, M.A., of Onehunga, in his 100th year, has severed the last remaining link with the earliest days of the Presbyterian Church in Auckland, and, indeed, New Zealand. Mr Brown, who would have reached his 100th birthday on November 11, passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon at bis residence in Onehunga.
