JAPANESE FREIGHT STEAMER. NO FURTHER NEWS. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Nov. 4, 1.25 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 3. A mystery has enveloped the fate of the Japanese freighter Seiyo Maru, which was reported to have lost her rudder and was helpless. Nothing has been heard from the vessel since Monday. The steamer California has resumed a search for the stricken vessel.
