PRISONERS SENTENCED.

AUCKLAND SUPREME COURT. A DANGEROUS CRIMINAL. (By. Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Tuesday. In the Supreme Court Alfred Skilton, aged 44, on four charges of theft from launches, was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment. Thos. Henry Langlois, aged 39, who v r as associated with Skilton, received two years’ reformative detention. It was stated that Langlois was one of Shilton’s companions in the voyage of the stolen yacht Raata from Auckland to Australia in 1922. Mr. Justice Herdman, in sentencing Skilton, said his prospects of again getting out of gaol were very remote. Patrick Gunn, aged 35, for attempted breaking and entering, was ordered two years’ hard labour. The judge described Gunn as one of the most dangerous criminals of the time.
