AT FRANKTON YARDS. ' FAT PIGS CHEAPER! BEEF A SHADE FIRMER. The weekly stocK sale at the Frankton sale yards to-day was fairly well attended and competition was keen. Beef was yarded in average numbers and quotations realised were in advance of last week’s rates. , There was a good yarding of sheep and . prices were little different from the previous week. Fat pig values dropped to-day though the Arm rates for lighter pigs ruled. The auctioneers, quote up to time of going to press as under:— Q. W. Vercoo and Company. Messrs G. W. Vercoe and Company, Limited, quote:—Prime fat bullocks, £l4 2s 6d to £l4 17s 6d; lighter fat bullocks, £l2 17s 6d to £l3 17s 6d; light fat bullocks, £lO 5s to £l2 15s. Fat woolly wethers to-275; fat shorn wethers to 23s 4d; good woolly hoggets, 28s 3d; fat shorn ewes, 14s 9d to 16s 6d; fat lambs, 21s 3d to 24s 3d, Heavy baconers, £2 14s to £2 17s; lighter baconers, £2 10s to £2 14s; porkers, 38s 6d to £2 Bs. Heavy fat cows, £lO 15s to £ll 10s; lighter fat cows, £8 15s to £9 6s; light fat cows, £6 10s to £7 15s; heavy fat heifers, £9 6s to £ll 10s. Loan and Mercantile Company.
