LATEST TROTTING.
AUCKLAND MEETING. ALTERATION OF LIMITS. GOLD JACKET’S TRIP CANCELLED. (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Monday. The Auckland Trotting Club has altered the limits for four events at the meeting to be held on November 19 and 22. The Improvers’ and Newmarket Handicaps’ limits have been extended to 3.34. The qualification clause, making the races open only to horses with records of 2.21 to the mile, has been deleted. The limits in the Mountain and Hillsbrough trots have been extended to 4.4. Gold Jacket worked freelegged this morning during which he crossflred badly. His trainer then decided not to take him South for the New Zealand Cup. Nelson Tasker leaves to-night to contest -sprint events. He was worked over a mile and a-quarter to-day in 2.44 The first mile was covered in 2.10.
