CRASH OF A PLANE
ANOTHER VICTIM. , CITY OP WASHINGTON WRECK. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. (Received Nov. 3, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 2. A Boulogne report states that Mr ■Harry Bolsover succumbed to his injuries sustained when the City of Washington crashed' last Thursday. The twin-engined air liner City of Washington was en route from Le Bourget aerodrome, Paris, to Croydon, when, near the coast, one engine went out of action. The pilot struggled on with the other, seeking a landing place. He encountered a fog and one wing struck a hillside, about 10 miles from Boulogne'. The machine was completely destroyed, but did not take fire. The accident was not discovered for two hours, when farm labourers on their way to work after their dinner found a passenger, Mr S. A. Tompkins, a Manchester man, who, in spite of.a terribly injured leg, which has since been amputated, had crawled nearly a mile shouting, for help. He was almost exhausted, but managed to . explain the whereabouts of the crash. Rescuers found the remainder of the occupants still in the wreck. One American passenger and a mechanic were dead. Another mechanic died after being lifted out. The other survivors were seriously hurt.
