PROSPECTS. FOR WOOL.
MORE CHEERFUL TONE. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, November 1. The wool trade is displaying a more cheerful tone, according to a Bradford correspondent. Although it is not possible to discover evidence of any great accession o,f business in colonial tops, it is satisfactory to know upon reliable authority than an improvement in Botany spinning now accounts for the fact that some mills are running full time, and that consequently increased requirements will result.
Merinot tops on contract are being taken up In appreciably larger quantities than recently. The Botany department of this trade is apparently getting into much better trim, and any other development would indeed be remarkable, considering the level of values ruling for'the superior article.
