Copyright LONDON, Nov. 1. , The annual report of the English, Scottish and Australian Bank for the year ended June 30 shows that the net profits were £542,736. An interim dividend of 5 per cent, was paid and the directors now propose a further dividend of 7.} per cent., free of income tax, making 12J per cent, for the year. The following appropriations are also proposed:—To reserve fund, £BO,000; to the officers’ provident fund, £10,000; to the contingency account, £70,000; to reduction In bank premises account, £50,000. The balance to be carried forward is £305,477.
