At the present time the regulations governing heavy traffic on country roads, conflict seriously with the interests of the dairy industry in connection with which so much heavy carting has to be done. To-day, at the office of the Waikato County Council a conference was held between the representatives of eight local bodies and representatives of the South Auckland Dairy Association, when the inimical effects of the regulations on the dairy industry were discussed.
