WEDDING
SAXTON—COOK. The marriage of Miss Anne Coolc, daughter of Mrs J. G. 'Cook, of Waitoa, to Mr Percy Henry Saxton, of To Puninga, was celebrated at St. Mark's Church, Te Aroha, on Tuesday morning, October 28. The Rev. R. L. Connolly performed the ceremony. The bride, who was 'given away by her brother, Mr Harry Cook, wore an ankle length frock of floral georgette in shades of cerise kind jade, with a deep beige georgette collar appliqued in jade and cerise to lone. She wore a beige felt hat and carried a sheaf of azaleas and maidenhair fern. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Geraldine Cussen, who wore a jade georgette frock with pleated cape collar of champagne georgette relieved with jade, the ankle-length skirt being finished with a llounce of champagne pleated georgette. She wore a beige picture hat and carried a bouquet of shell-pink stocks and asparagus fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Edward Farrow as best man. Miss E. Ray played the organ.
Following the ceremony a reception was held in the Parish Hall, Mrs J. G. Cook receiving her guests in a flounced navy crepe de chine frock relieved with fawn georgette and a navy Bangkok hat. She carried a posy of mauve sweet peas and maidenhair fern. Airs G. P. Lindsey, cousin of the bride, who assisted Mrs. Cook, wmre a frock of mole French marocain with hat to tone. Her posy was of yellow azaleas and asparagus fern. Following the wedding breakfast, the happy couple left by car on an extended honeymoon trip in the south.
