UNEMPLOYMENT TAX. HAMILTON’S GOOD RESPONSE. Hamilton’s . male population is responding well to tlie national obligation to apply for registration in connection with the Unemployment Act. It is stated officially that'an average of 300 registration forms daily are being received at the Chief Post Office and forwarded to Wellington. Returns from about 20,000 males are expected from Hamilton and district.
The closing date for registration is November 11. After that defaulters are liable for penalties.
