CRUELTY TO A DOG.
TOOK AN HOUR TO KILL. MAN SENT TO GAOL. AUCKLAND, Friday. Seven days’ gaol without the option of a fine was the sentence passed on Albert Arthur Cousins in the Police Court for causing unnecessary suffering to a dog. It was stated that Cousins took an hour to'kill a small pup, using an iron bar and a hammer. Defendant said the dog went mad and attacked a baby.
