LONG-DISTANCE FLIERS,
MRS BRUCE AND GARDEN. AIEET IN CALCUTTA. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. Copyright. DELHI, October 30. The first person to greet Airs Victor Bruce when she landed at Dumdum -aerodrome, Calcutta, this afternoon was Air Oscar Garden. The two' fliers hope to leave together in the morning for Rangoon, where they will separate to follow their respective rou tes—Air Garden to Sydney and A-Irs Bruce to Tokio. Airs Bruce intends tp go from Tokio to Vancouver by steamer, taking her aeroplane with her.- She will then fly to San Francisco, and later visit her mother’s home in Indiana. After that she will fly either to South America or to West Africa. She. is hoping that her luck will change. ‘‘l am only one month behind my schedule,” said Airs Bruce. She added, that she hoped to reach Tokio safely. The engine of her machine now is running as sweetly as a -sewing machine.
