EXPORTS OF PRODUCE. BIG INCREASE IN VALUE.

The full effect of the low prices has not yet been felt because during the greater part of the statistical year prices were comparatively high, the price for butter tor most of the period ranging from 130 s upwards. Furthermore, the increase in production has more than balanced Hie fall in prices. The return from dairy produce at £20,678,517 is the highest on record and dairying is now our premier industry.

Consignments to Britain. A large consignment of dairy produce is being shipped to Great Britain by the Shaw, Savill and Albion motorship Zealandio, which will leave Auckland this afternoon for London, where she is due on December 4. From Auckland the vessel is faking 55,000 .boxes of butler and 5075 crates of cheese. She also loaded at Wellington, New Plymouth, and Gisborne, the total allotment for the Dominion amounting to 70,500 boxes of butter and 19,700 crates of cheese. ■ The llangitata is loading 74,321 boxes of butter and 9642 crates of cheese at Auckland, and will sail finally from Lids port on November 8. Her complete loading of dairy produce will comprise 85,000 boxes of butter and 20,000 crates of cheese, the balance having been drawn from Wellington. Wanganui, Napier and Lyttelton.
