THEATRE CHARGES.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —“ Simple Simon," who- writes in Wednesday’s 1 paper on the above subject, is evidently one of the few who prefer to argue the “ penny ” rather than the quality of the talkie’s “ wares.” Mr Editor, I consider myself the average talkie-goer and one who relishes quality before price. It is obvious to me that pictures are like any other commodity—you can only expect what you pay for. I hold no brief for any picture company, hut realise I share the opinion of hundreds when I offer this explanation- of picture prices distinction.—l am, etc., SIMPLE RECKONING.
