A PLEASANT FUNCTION.
MR E. WATERS HONOURED. MARIST FOOTBALL CLUB._ Mr E Waters, who recently represented New Zealand at the Empire Games in Canada, as a member of the Dominion eight-oar crew, was presented with a momento of his association with the Marist Old Boys Football Club, at the annual social of the club last evening. Father Bleakley in presenting Mr Waters with an enlarged framed photograph of the senior Marist team, referred to the honour that had been conferred on the recipient and the club by his selection-in a team to represent New Zealand. He was the one outstanding member of the club worthy of the selection made.
