Company Formed. The Progress Buildings (Otorohanga)' Company, has been formed registered, with a capital of £9OOO in £i shares, the subscribers being T. ’ V- Levien and Elizabeth Levien, 100 shares each; Dr. C. B. Gilberd, J. A. Ormsby and Dora M. Paterson, 50; and S. J: Fortescue, 25 shares. A. and P. President. The secretary of the Otorohanga Agricultural and Pastoral Association is calling for nominations for the office of president to the association, a position very ably filled by Mr W. B. Me Adam for many years past. Mr McAdam is now a resident of Te Kuiti. Orlcket. The Otorahanga Cricket Club will start- the senior play on Saturday when a team will play against Te Awamutu High School at Te Awamutu. The club has entered a team in the Waipa Association’s competition. Waltomo Power Board. At the monthly meeting of the Waitomo Power Board the question of the collection of charges from dairy herdsmen during their flush months, instead of over the whole year, was brought up by Mr Lee, wflio stated that this system was adopted by the Te Awamutu Powei* Board. The engineer and secretary were Instructed to go fully into the matter and furnish a report. The engineer advised that he had arranged for the installation of interconnecting fuses in Otorohanga and T'e Kuili, so as to facilitate the main-

tcnance of supply-in case of a breakdown of any particular transformer. The engineer, in commenting on the number of wireless sets recently installed, said that it was imperative that the electrical wiring should be carried out by a registered wireman. School Committee. At the monthly meeting of the school committee the resignation of Mr Wilson-Smith as secretary was received with regret, and Mr Kinnear Smith was appointed to All the vacancy. The headmaster reported a roll call of 330 in the primary division, .with an average attendance of 300. In the secondary departments the roll number was 44 and the average attendance 43.
