SCHOOL STEEPLECHASE.

- HIGH SCHOOL ANNUAL EVENT. WON BY 0. BURN. The. Hamilton High School boys’ annual cross-country run was held (his afternoon, weather conditions being ideal. About 200 boys faced the starter, the majority of them reaching the finishing post. Running down I-linemoa Street and up Collingwood Street hill, the course led to the main Lake gates at the Frankton end, through the Lake Road and up Ruakiwi Street. , Proceeding along Lake Road and down Marama Street, the run concluded in the school ground. The field was bunched at the start, but entering the Lake grounds they started to spread out, Burns, Harding and Bradley taking the lead in that order. The order was the same when the field left the Lake, with Crabb running fourth. At the top of Ruakiwi Street hill, the placed competitors were holding their positions, with Kepple and D.
