POLICE CHIEF HERE.
FIRST OFFICIAL VISIT. WELL SATISFIED WITH FORCE. Commissioner W. G. Wohlmann, Chief of Police, paid his first official visit to Hamilton to-day. Although a parade was not called, the Commissioner made a thorough inspection of the station and informed Inspector Eccles that he was very satisfied with the police organisation in the town. Mr. Wohlmann was inspector of police at Hamilton before his transfer to the position of superintendent at Auckland in February, 1926. Formerly he was senior-sergeant at Wailii. The Commissioner left this <>*' 'rnoon for Auckland.
