BRIDGE HOTEL, BEAUMONT. DESTROYED IN THIRTY MINUTES. nw Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Thursday. The Bridge Hotel, at Beaumont, which was intimately associated with the early history, of the province, was completely destroyed by fire last evening. ... It is thought that a fused wire caused the outbreak and as the old building was entirely wooden it was wiped out in 30 minutes. The few boarders barely escaped with their clothes. _ The hotel was owned by Mr. Edward Pearson and was occupied by Mr. J. H. Jones. The insurances were: Building, £3300; contents, £I2OO.
