BOCKETT —EDWARDS. St. Barnabas’s Church, Auckland, was. the scene of the on Wednesday evening of Miss Esme Alice Edwards, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Edwards, of Ashton Road, Mount Eden, to Mr Charles Frederick Bockett, eldest son of the late Captain C. F. Bockett, of Opotilu, and of Mrs L. M. Bockett, of Mount Ed»n Rev. F. G. Harvie performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a shell pink frock with a bodice of satin beaute and an ankle-length skirt of frilled georgette. Her pink embroidered tulle veil was caught over each ear with clusters of pink orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of pink flowers. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Rona Hodges (Morrinsville), cousin of the bride, and Miss Billie Bockett. They-were dressed alike in frocks of leaf-green floral georgette with green picture crinoline hats. They carried shower bouquets of autumn-tinted flowers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr W. Kidd (Thames) as best man, and Mr A. E. Bockett was groomsman. A reception was afterwards held at the Mount Eden Tea Kiosk, Mrs Edwards receiving in a navy blue georgette ensamble trimmed with grey fur and a navy Bangkok hat. Mrs Bockett wore a navy blue silk marocain ensemble trimmed with mushroom pink silk and a navy Bangkok hat.

MARSON —FORT. The marriage of Miss Mavis Adele Fort, third daughter of Mr and Mrs J. W. Fort, of Mount Eden, to Mr Athol Marson, youngest son of Mrs N. Marson, of Ponsonby, was celebrated at St. Matthew’s Church, Auckland, on Wednesday evening. Canon C. H. Grant Cowen performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white satin beaute with a tight-fitting bodice and long, full skirt finished with a tulle hem. Her veil of Brussels net was caught to the head with clusters of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet of white flowers. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Elva Hill (Hamilton), who wore a frock of green floral georgette with a long-tiered skirt. Her gold Juliet cap was finished with a bandeau of gold leaves and she carried a bouquet of autumntinted flowers. The little flower-girl, Betty Hawke, niece of the bride, was in a lemon frilled georgette frock and a tulle head-dress embroidered with rosebuds. She carried a posy to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Ray Smith (Hamilton) as best man. Following the ceremony a reception was heid in the Domain Kiosk, which was attractively decorated with bowls of pink stocks and blue larkspur. To receive, Mrs Fort wore a frock of navy satin beaute with a navy Bangkok” hat. She carried a bouquet of red sweetpeas. Mrs Marson, the bridegroom’s mother, was in bois de rose satin beaute, with a black Bangkok hat. She carried a bouquet of cyclamen.
