SOCIAL EVENING.

BRIDE-TO-BE HONOURED. A number of fellow-members of the High School Old Girls’ Association gathered at the home of Mrs J. J Standrin on Wednesday evening ; in honour of Miss Avis Turley, whose j wedding takes place shortly. During the evening competitions were won by Mrs McHaffle, Mrs Nelson and Miss Tombs. Songs were given by Mrs Conradi, Mrs Standrin and Miss Cliff. After supper Mrs Nelson, on behalf of the members of, the association, asked. Miss Turley to accept a crystal rose bowl in appreciation of her many years’ work as an active and energetic committee worker. Miss Turley suitably replied. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne” brought an enjoyable evening to a close. Those present were Mrs Flexman, Mrs P. Nelson, Mrs R. Conradi, Mrs McHaffle, Mrs R. Houghton, Mrs L. Egdecumbe, Mrs J.
