PADDINGTON BY-ELECTION. SPLIT IN CONSERVATIVE CAMP. THREE CANDIDATES NOMINATED. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright, (Received October 23, 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 22. Three Conservatives and one Labour candidate have been nominated for the South Paddington by-election. Sir Herbert Lidiard is the offl'cial Conservative. The local branch of the United Empire Party adopted Mrs. Neil Stewart Richardson, hut Lord Rothmere is supporting Lord Beaverbrook’s Empire crusader, Vice-Ad-miral Taylor. This mix up is bemoaned by all Conservatives, who fear a chance will be given to the Labour candidate, Miss Dorothy Evans.
