SURVEYOR CHARGED.
SECOND TRIAL FAILS. VERDICT OF NOT GUILTY. A man aged 51 years of age, named Edward Fenwick Halse, surveyor, of Putaruru, stood his second trial at the Hamilton Supreme Court to-day, before His Honour Mr. Justice Herdman and a jury, on a charge of indecent assault at Rotorua. When accused was before- the Court last Friday the jury disagreed. The jury to-day, after being in retirement for two and a-half hours, returned a verdict of not guilty. Prisoner was represented by Mr. N. Johnson at both trials.
