GAME IN HAMILTON.
OLD BOYS V. UNITED.
FORMER’S DECISIVE VICTORY. The Old Soys 1 senior hockey team decisively accounted for the United team by 10 goals to 0 at Steele Park on Saturday. Old Boys owed the wide margin to the splendid combination of their forwards and to the weakness of the opposing team. The following were the teams: — Old Boys.—West, Jane, Davies, Hume, Haverbier, Wycherley, Powdrill, Hammond, Craig, McLachlan, Riddley. United.—Davies, Joil, Roy, Robertson, Kilham, Robinson, Slater, McDonagh, Allsop, Waterson, Cummings. Play opened with Old Boys on the attack. Riddley received ,the from Hume, carried it down the lirs and centred to Craig -’who opened Old Boys’ account with a hard shot. The game from then on to the final whistle was very one-sided, though Allsop carried the ball through the opposition on a few occasions and had hard luck in not scoring each time. When the game ended McLachlan had scored five goals, Hammond three, Powdrill one, and with Craig’s goal, early in the game the final score was: Old Boys 10 United 0
