HAMILTON HARRIERS.
AN ENJOYABLE RUN. A very enjoyable club run was held on Saturday afternoon. An excellent although scarcely discernible trail, with many “blinds,” was laid by J. Mitchell and R. Wood. From Selkirk Street the pack followed the trail round the lake and •out on to the undulating country beyond. The run was long enough to test the stamina and resource of enven the most capable athletes and to many revealed weakness and faulty style. In many respects the run provided an excellent tryout in view of the coming race.at Te Rapa next Saturday. A run-in was held over the last 4 mile,- and resulted in a well-merited victory for the limit performers, resulting:—P. Carswell, 1; F. W. Johnston, 2; R. Wood, 3. The scratch men were running strongly at the finish, but found the handicaps a trifle too severe. After the run the clu'b were the guests of Mrs. B. O. Bartlett to whom the thanks of the club are due.
