OIL STEAMER SUNK.
TO PREVENT EXPLOSION. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel.—Copyright HONOLULU, May 25. The steamer City of Honolulu is on fire in dock at Honolulu. The vessel has 16,000 barrels of oil on board and is being sunk to prevent an explosion. The City of Honolulu Is a steel twin-screw steamer of 10,680 tons gross register belonging to the Los Angeles Steam Ship Company. She was built in 1900 at the Vulcan works, Stettin, and her port of registry is Los Angeles.
