ABORIGINE MURDERERS. COMMUTATION OF SENTENCES. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. SYDNEY, May 26. The sentences of death passed upon four aborigines for the murder of another native in Northern Australia have been comtnuted to imprisonment for life. At the trial of four aborigines on a charge of murdering another native the jury on May 9 found them guilty and sentence of death wg.s passed. This was the first time for 12 years that a Darwin jury had returned a verdict of guilty in a murder case.
