THE BRITISH TEAM. THE TARANAKI MATCH. TOO MUCH HOSPITALITY. NEW PLYMOUTH, Thursday. It is evident the British Rugby team will have to decline a great deal of the hospitality that is being offered it. The manager, Mr James Baxter, emphasised this fact in his reply to the official welcome at Wanganui. He pointed out that the team was in New Zealand to play football, and he regretted as much as the members did that they would be unable to accept all the hospitality that is being showered upon them. > The following team will represent Britain against Taranaki on Saturday: Jennings, Reeve, Aarvold, Murray, M'orley, Spong, Pool, Kendrew, Parker, O’Neill, Black, Hodgson, Jones, Beamish, Wilkinson. In the absence of Prentice and Sobey Aarvold will lead the touring side on Saturday. Prentice is still suffering from an injury to the ear. Sobey’s knee was very tender to-day, and he will be off the field for at least two or three weeks.
