TE AROHA NOTES. HONITON SLIGHTLY HURT. TRIP FOR WHITE RINGLET. (Special to Times.) TE AROHA Thursday. This week. Mr P. A. Swney’s mare, iHoniton, came in contact with a wire fence, arid sustained minor cuts that will necessitate her being placed on the easy list for at least a few days. Taumai, in the same stable, is executing satisfactory work, and may be forward enough to compete at the Auckland Winter meeting. For Taumarunul.. Trainer Rhodes Wallace left for Taumarunui on Tuesday with White 'Ringlet and Bahama. Both horses ar,e in nice racing condition, and should run at least prominently. Bahama won at this King Country meeting in December last.Whlte Ringlet for Sydney. The proposal to take White Ringlet over to Australia for pony racing is under consideration, and the probability is that the Some Boy II representative will go over- 'She is quick leaving the barrier and possesses a nice dash of speed, so should do well on “the other side.” Trainer G. Reid Returns. Trainer G. Reid arrived back in Te Aroha from Wanganui on Tuesday morning, and since then has been warmly congratulated on achieving the "hat triclo” on the tour with Valstreet. This Valkyrian gelding, Town Bird and Glenstar are looking well after their exertions. Town Bird met with a slight mishap on the second day at Wanganui, when he received a knock through the twisting and shifting of a plate. But for this he would have been closer up at the finish. Te Aroha Probable Starters. Te Aroha acceptors for Taumarunui are Taurimu, While Ringlet, Bahama, St. Warrigal, Valstreet and Town Bird- At time of writing G. Reid has not decided to take the three lastnamed to the meeting. Indolent* For Ellerslie. Indolent is looked upon as a certain starter at the Auckland June meeting. He is looking especially well in all respects and carries the condition that should enable him to race out his distances. (Continued in next column.)

Track Work. On Wednesday morning Black Maire was cantered and trotted on the old course proper. He continues to move quite soundly. Miss Albyn and Glenison were allotted sound work, and Indolent showed to advantage in short sprints. The half-brother to Sir Russell and the Weathorvase— Panama filly were sprinted a couple of furlongs twice, the latter displaying speed. Gold Day. ,1. f. Eva has Gold Day looking lusty and well. He is thickening out admirably, and as he will he. really well wintered is quite likely to join' the winning list as a three-year-old.
