VISIT TO HAMILTON. THE OFFICIAL PROGRAMME. LIST OF ENGAGEMENTS. A large number of functions have been arranged for next week on the occasion of the first official visit, to Hamilton of the Governor-General, the Right Hon. Lord Bledlsloe and Lady Bledisloe. The full programme is as follows:— t Monday—l 2.39 p.m. Met on'arrival at Frankton by Mayor, Mayoress, Town Clerk and Mr J. A. Young, M.P. and accompanied to Hamilton Hotel. Guard of Honour to be supplied at Frankton Station by Defence Department; 2.30-3.30 p.m. visit to New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company’s butter factory and box factory at Frankton Junction; 4-5 p.m. private visit to Dr. Annett, “ Grasslands,” Matangi; 6,45 p.m., civic dinner at Hamilton Hotel. Speakers, His Worship the Mayor, Mr T. Hinton representing Counties, Mr D. Seymour representing Chamber of Commerce, His Excellency. Tuesday.—lo a.m. Drive through town arriving at Hospital at 11 a.m. and staying till (say) noon. Lunch privately; 2 p.m._, public reception at Waikato Winter Show buildings where His Excellency will open the show. Speakers; Ilis Worship the Mayor who is president of the show, member for the district (Mr J. A. Young), representative of early settlers (Mr Stewart Reid), His Excellency. ‘lt is proposed that Their Excellencies will spend the afternoon in viewing the show and meeting there representative people of the district; 6.45 p.m., Winter Show Association’s dinner to their Excellencies at Hamilton Hotel; 8, smoke concert arranged by the dairying interests for His Excellency at.. Alexandra Hall. Reception arranged by the combined ladies societies for Her Excellency at .YjM.C.A. rooms. Wednesday.—9.4s a.m. Open the Waikato Diocesan School for Girls at Claudelands; 10.30-11-30 a.m., visit High School grounds where school children from all schools will assemble to meet Their Excellencies.
