HIGH-HANDED ACTION.

A TEACHER BARRED. EXPECTED TO DO MILKING. (Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Wednesday. The high-handed action of a Northland resident was reported to the Education Board to-day by the advisory inspector. An aided school was on his property, and he refused to allow the present lady teacher to teach his four children (four others are not of school age) or to enter the school to teach two children of another family. The inspector thought the teacher could recover her salary from the man. • The teacher was expected to do household duties, including milking cows, and when the school interfered with the household duties she was expected to leave school.
