At the wool sales 9031 bales were offered including 4500 New Zealand. Practically all were sold. There was a large offering of greasy. merinos, principally super style and spinners sorts, and "a good supply of all New Zealand descriptions. The market was very firm at full late rates. New Zealand Clips: Greasy crossbreds, “Manga,” top price, IOJd, average lOJd; “ Paparata,” 121 d and 12d; “ Opou,” lljd and lljd. SYDNEY SERIES. - GOOD COMPETITIONS. SYDNEY, May 20. At the wool sales 8576 bales were offered and 8362 were sold. Also 921 bales were sold privately. There was a very active market, with keen Continental and Japanese competition, and also good support from' Yorkshire.
