The pressmen’s complaint was based upon the question of a journalist in connection with an alleged leakage of information regarding the impending arrest of Ghandi. As a result it was established that by deduction from facts the pressmen had reached the right I ' - conclusion and there had been no leakage of official information. The newspaper proprietors complained because the journalist had been questioned under the Official Secrets Act, holding that such procedure was a violation of the secrecy of the press.
