A message from Niagara Falls (New York), states that the citizens of three countries gathered at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery, and attended the unveiling of a monument of a high marble slab “To the memory of William E. Strachan, horn at Brisbane, Australia, on September 18, 1911, died April 19, 1929, while on a tour of the United States and Canada with the Australia League.” The stone was erected by the contributions of members of the Boys’ Club Federation of America. Mr C. E. Fenton, Australian Minister of Customs and Industries, stated this beautiful tribute of love, respect and honour from American and Canadian youths for a foreign comrade is further proof that the Anglo-Saxon races are closer together.” Mr Brookes (Adelaide), in a message to the Boys’ Clu-b Federation, states: “Need I assure you that it gives me joy to dwell upon the union of hearts revealed by this tablet stone. Here we have a great republic -of the United States linked with two of the greatest Dominions within the Commonwealth of nations. May it be symbolic of the great ■ accord of the future.”

Other -speakers were Mr Swayne (Mayor of Niagara Falls) representing the Lord Mayor of Brisbane and Mr Laurie Newham, a member of the Young Australians who is a student at the Minnessota University.
