SERIOUS CHARGES.
PUTARURU SURVEYOR ARRESTED.
FAILS TO APPEAR IN COURT,
(By Telegraph,—Press Association.) THAMES, Tuesday,
Edward Fenwick liaise, surveyor, of Putaruru, was charged with a serious offence against little girls. He had been remanded and his name suppressed by justices last week, and was allowed bail on condition that he reported to the police daily. He failed lo appear at the Court this morning. His solicitor said he had been in communication with liaise last evening in Auckland.
Sergeant MacNamara said liaise reto the Auckland police in a drunken condition, and had been detained in custody. He asked for a warrant for arrest, which was granted.
