GLEN MASSEY NEWS.
ENJOYABLE PARTY. A very enjoyable party was given by Mr and Mrs Nairn, and’ a_ jolly evening was spent in dancing, interspersed with games and competitions. The Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss C. Bowen and Mr M. Nairn, and the elopement competition by Miss Cummings and Mr Baildon. Mrs Nairn received her guests in a gown of black georgette, with beaded trimmings. Others present were Mrs H. Allender (Auckland), black satin beaute, embossed chenille bridge coat; Misses B. Nairn, delphinium blue taffeta; N. Nairn, black velvet, white crepe de chine collar; E. Cumming (Auckland), sea green georgette, uneven hemline, with Oriental shawl; L. Dickie (Auckland), period frock of flame taffeta, with tinsel bridge coatto match; E. Fowler, shell pink lace gown, with draped effect; M. Brockett, apple green embossed georgette, with diamente trimming; B. Brown, ankle-length frock of lime taffeta; J. Fowler, black panne velvet with large hip bow of tulle; C. Bowen, mimosa taffeta, with ivory shawl. Personal. Mrs G. Bull, has returned from a holiday in Auckland. Misses Cumming and J. Fowler, of Auckland, spent the week-end with their parents at Glen -Massey. Miss Dickie, of Auckland, has been visiting Glen (Massey as the guest of Mrs Cumming.
