CALEDONIAN SOCIETY.
FANCY DRESS DANCE. On Saturday evening, Pearson’s hall, Hamilton East was the scene of much gaiety when the usual old time dance was converted into a fancy dress one. Music was supplied by Mrs G. McKenzie and Messrs C. Bluett, Webster and Smith and several extras were played. The South Auckland Pipe Band was in attendance and Pipe Major Clothier and Sergeant V. Paget led the “ Grand March.” Mr Les Cameron was M.C. The winners ol' the Monte Carlo dances were Miss Smallman arid Mr Longden and Miss Collins and Mr J. Fisher. Mr and Mrs F. J. Farrell judged the costumes and the results were: Fancy, Miss E. McHarrie “Fatima;” Mr Stewart “Indian.” Original, W. Rumney, “Horse;” Miss Iv. Robison, “ Two-Faced.” It is the intention of the society to later hold a “ Harcl-up " dance in connection with their weekly euchres. Some of those present in fancy costume were Misses T. Scott, Scotch Guard; L. Jones, Russian Princess; Goulston, Ruination; O’Keefe, Pierette; J. Scott, Gipsy; I. Scott, Spanish dancer; A. Bowler, Ukelele Lady; N. Dick, Electric Light Shade; Dixon, Bride; S. Edkins, Bridegroom; M. Nicholson, Cat; O’Keefe, Light; R. Bowler, Modern Licenses; B. Watt, Eastern Princess; C'. Page, Russian Prince; E.
