CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
£1417 AWARDED. SEQUEL TO MOTOR COLLISION. AUCKLAND, Tuesday. A claim for damages arising out of a motor-cycle collision on the Great North Road in August, 1929, was heard in the Supreme Court yesterday. Alfred John Turner claimed from Samuel Edward Glenelg Bartrum special damages for injury to clothing £l7 13s, hospital expenses £BB, loss of wages £331 10s and general damages £2OOO, a total of £2437 3s. The Jury found that defendant was guiltyJof-negligence causing the accident, and that the amount of damages plaintiff was entitled to recover was £417 3s special damages and £IOOO general damages.
