FAREWELL AT KEREONE. HERD-TESTER HONOURED. Mr. iE. J. C. Robinson, herd-tester for the Kereone-Kiwltahl group, was farewelled by a large number of the residents of the district. Dancing, cards, music, and a 'splendid supper provided by.the ladies made the time pass very pleasantly. A song by Mrs Morgan Davis and instrumental items by Misses N. Robieson and L. Gallagher were much appreciated. Mr W. Wills, secretary of the Tennis Club, expressed the sorrow they all felt at losing Mr Robinson, and presented him with a suede collar-box, as a memento of New Zealand. He wished him a pleasant journey to England, and hoped that when he returned to New Zealand he would revisit Ivereone. On behalf of the families in the district, Mr Mclntyre presented Mr Robinson with a silver smoking set, and complimented him upon the efficient manner in which he had carried out his work and wished him a pleasant voyage. In reply Mr Robinson xhanked the Tennis Club and the settlers for their presents and, for the kind things said about him.
