RUGBY FOOTBALL.
MORRINSVILLE UNION. The committee of the Morrinsville Rugby Union, at its weekly meeting, received letters from Thames, Matamata and Otorohanga unions regarding representative matches, and the following dates were suggested: — May 30, Otorohanga seniors at GVTorrinsville; June 14, v. Matamata A and B seniors at'Me.tamata, and juniors v. Matamata, at Morrinsville; June 28, Thames, seniors, juniors and thirds at Morrinsville. " It was decided to urge on all clubs match against Hamilton as a curtainraiser to the Auckland-Waikato match ;at Hamilton, on June 3i -•••* - '■ It was decided to write to the Taupiri and Waikato Unions - strongly protesting agpinst the. . practice of players';,, plying; q’utsi.de ' ville Union’s district;* : '■!' ,V fc It was"decided to urge in all clubs the necessity of numbering players. The application from the Tatuanui club for' re-grading Wardrop and Donald from' seniors to juniors was referred to the classification committee. Four teams were entered for the third-grade competition—Terriers (2), United and High School Reach. A committee ,was appointed to see the headmaster ’of the Morrinsville school about the arrangements for the schools competition.
