SUDAN UNITED MISSION.
ORGANISING SECRETARY’S VISIT. Mr J. H. Priestly, organising secretary of the Sudan United Mission, is on his annual visit to the Waikato, and during the week will address meetings in the several centres. Yesterday morning in St. Andrew’s Church Mr Priestly gave an interesting address on various phases of mission work in the Sudan, referring to the abyss of superstition and suffering in which millions of natives in Africa are engulfed, and the great and urgent need for the propagation of the Gospel and the provision of medical services. He also referred to the fact that Waikato was well represented in the mission field, the latest addition to the staff being Nurse Thomas, who had recently left for the work in the field. ,
