HAMILTON WEST SCHOOL.
(To the Editor.)
Sir -All householders m the Hamilton West School district are reminded that the election of committee for the ensuing year is to be held at the school on Monday next.. This is one of the oldest educational institutions m the borough, yet for many years it has been allowed to drift into disrepair. Its grounds have received little or no attention, and it has slowly but surely become a back number. The site _is ideally situated, and had as much interest been taken by parents during years gone by as was displayed in the vear just closed the school and its grounds could have to-day ranked as one of Hamilton’s beauty spots. Good work has been commenced, and it should be realised by each householder that it is bis duty to take an interest in the electing of a suitable committee, the works being attempted b> the committee, and school affairs generally. “Leave it to the other fellow accounts for the regrettable state of affairs which the outgoing committee has endeavoured to improve. Those who have the school’s interests at heart sineerely trust that the householders will show their appreciation by attending the annual meeting, at which any suggestions, or even criticisms, will be welcomed. Even criticism is preferable to indifference. —I am, etc., HOUSEHOLDER.
