The National Union of Manufacturers has prepared a statement which it hopes to be included in the Impeiial Economic Conference agenda, urging an investigation of Anglo-Dominion economic relations, and a survey of the Empire’s resources, with a view to pooling and concentrating production in economic units in places best suited for profitable production and cheap distribution. It suggests that representatives be summoned from all parts of the Empire to draw up a scheme for the development of transportation, migration, and tariffs suitable to each part of the Empire.
