R. Lewi's, the Melbourne jockey, recently received a cablegram from Frank Bullock, former Victorian rider, now training in France, stating that \V. Scanlon, of Victoria, rode, two winners at Brussels on March 29. W. Scanlon was sent to Bullock on the recommendation of Lewis. He has been in Europe only a few w’eeks. He was one of the most capable riders in Melbourne, his many victories including the Caulfield Cup on Textile.
