TALKIE STAR QUEST

WINNER IN AUSTRALIA. TO APPEAR IN REVUE. Rosalind Kennerdale is the winner of the Australian “Talkie” Star Quest. Of the six finalists she was the only girl without professional stage experience, although she has won upwards of 100 prizes for elocution in national Eisteddfods. Miss Kennerdale is a brunette, with shoulder-length hair. A tall girl, her age is 19, lour years of which have been spent in studying dramatic art under the tutelage of her father, Mr Norman Kennerdale. Now her feet have been placed on the first rung of the ladder to talkie fame in Norman Dawn’s Australian revue, and scenarists are writing a part specially for her. To Miss Kennerdale will go £IOO for her engagement in Mr Dawn's production, a four-weeks’ broadcasting contract over Station 2GB, a bonus of £25 from Lustre Hosiery, a full-length portrait in oils by Monte Luke, valued at 10 guineas, a valuable opal creation designed by Percy Marks, a teaset from W. Rising and Co., and hairdressing by the Darelle Salon for screen appearances. In addition, her singing instructor, Mine. Bennett-North, has awarded her a year’s scholarship.
