GIRL GUIDES.

Chaffinch Patrol, Claudolands, writes: Last Saturday we were all very busy getting our patrol corners in order wben captain came in and told us Miss Scherer was coming to visit us. We had horseshoe formation and prayers, and then went to our patrol corners. While we were there Miss Scherer arrived, and she came around with captain to inspect the corners. Then we ail sat down in a circle and Miss Scherer talked to us about the first and second Guide Laws. We then had two competitions—one with the dif-

ferent flags and the other with knots. We also had a game called Indians, in which each girl in the patrol took off her hat, belt and shoes, and the patrol which put them on again the quickest, and with the least noise, won. After those exciting games we went outside and learned how to measure heights and how to make a rough map of different roads. We then had company formation and were dismissed. A very interesting meeting you had, Chaffinches. Who won the competitions?—Peter Pan.
