INQUEST ON A VICTIM.

At Hie resumed inquest on Mr McGowan, wireless operator, a victim of the naval plane crash on March 19, Pilot - Officer Grant gave evidence that he felt the air bump. The machine went into a spinning dive from 2000 feet. He tried all means to regain control, but failed. He had not noticed any air disturbances following shell explosions, which were too far off. Lieutenant Elliott said the p.ane struck the water at a speed of about 150 miles an hour. PILOT FLEW TOO LOW. HIS CERTIFICATE SUSPENDED. Culled Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. —Copyright. The Minister of Defence announces that- he lias suspended the certificate of William Joseph Powell, civil air pilot, who crashed last week-end in the street at Maroubra'Junction, Sydney. while flying at a low altitude, which was expressly forbidden by regulations while over the town.
